Portugal D7 Passive Income Visa

The Portugal D7 Visa, also known as the Portugal Passive Income Visa or Retirement Visa, is a long-term residency program for non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens who have a stable, recurring passive income—such as pensions, rental income, or dividends.

This visa is ideal for retirees and also financially independent individuals seeking an affordable and accessible way to live in Portugal and gain access to the European Union, without the need to make a large investment.

Unlike the Portugal Golden Visa, the D7 does not require real estate purchases or investment funds. Instead, it focuses on your ability to support yourself financially through non-employment income.

It should be noted that despite sometimes being referred to as the Portugal Retirement Visa, there is no age requirement. Anyone aged 18 or older can apply.
